Date: 10 ~ 11 Jun 2017
Where: Marramarra Creek
Departing Palm Beach 8.30 AM
Grades: All Grades

Suitable for all paddlers who have previous experience or feel confident at paddling 20 km or more in a day. We will meet at Palm Beach and paddle to  Marramarra Creek via West Head, Dangar Island and Bar Island  The night will be cold so remember to bring suitable clothing.

Marramarra Creek is a little known tributary off Berowra Creek. It winds its way up into Marramarra National Park to a beautiful campsite, surrounded by towering cliffs. As we will arrive at the campsite at low tide, we may have to walk up the creek for a short distance pulling our kayaks.

This area has changed little since the first settlers arrived in the Hawkesbury area. En-route, we will stop at some isolated beaches and Bar Island to examine its historic past. Paddle distance 30 km each way. Expect to finish our journey about 3 PM on Sunday.

You are expected to be fully self supporting.
