Mona Vale – Outside/Upside, Inside/Downside

Aspiring Grade 3s/ Grade 2’s with ocean experience. Spaces limited.

 From a partially protected surf launch spot, we will paddle up the outside and down the inside…all but circumnavigating the Pittwater peninsula. Meet at 8.30am for briefing/launch at9.00am

 The plan is to put-in at Bongin Bongin Bay (northern end of Mona Vale beach – Surfview Rd) and 25km later finish the paddle in the SE corner of Pittwater – leaving a short walk back to collect the cars.

We may have a surf landing for morning tea as we paddle north on the ocean side, before taking a hard edged turn left around Barrenjoey headland into Pittwater for lunch. After lunch we will paddle back down the “inside” and finish up at Winnererremy Bay Foreshore Reserve (Eric Green Drive).

If conditions unfavourable, we could change plans to a paddle within Pittwater. 
Kayaks and kit to Grade 3, please.  This includes a helmet
